- Open the Background Image and Person Image in PSP.
- Go to Colours>increase colour depth to 16mill ( Ctrl + Shift + 0 ) ie:0 zero not capital O.
- Select your Selections Tool>Then on Tool Options Pallette>Selection Type Elipse; Feather 28; Antialias
Checked.
- Click on your person image - Make a selection starting at half way down the person image and to the left of centre a bit;
Now holding left mouse button down drag down to near the bottom of image and across to the right ending
about 3/4 of way across the image and let mouse button go.
The selection you have made will increase itself in size to include the extra 28 pixels of feathering you put in
the settings.
- Edit>Copy. ( Ctrl + C )
- Click on Background Image - Edit>Paste as New Layer. ( Ctrl + L )
- Select you Erasor Tool>Shape Round>Size to suit area you are erasing; Hardness 0; Opacity 30; Step 25;
Density 100; Build Up Checked. - Right click on the head of the person and move erasor tool across
the head and part of top of body area to replace the missing pixels - and then left click outside body
at top of image and erase any background remaining from around the top half of the person and also
down the left side of the image - as in following images.
- Select you Retouch Tool>Then on Tool Options Pallette>Shape Round; Size 7; Hardness 15; Opacity 40;
Step 20; Density 100; and from the drop down menu Colour To Target
And on your Materials/Colour Pallette> Styles/foreground Solid colour; Click on this colour swatch
and change the HTML Code to #57432F
- Now colour the hair and skin of the - female face, hair and hand OR - male face and top section of body and arms -
as in images following.
- Layers>New Raster Layer.
- Select your Text Tool>Left click on your image you are building>Text Name Agency FB; Size 14;
Kerning & Leading 0; Auto Kern Checked; Click on B (Bold); Styles/stroke Null; Fill Solid colour and
Left click on this colour swatc and change HTML Code to #808080; Floating & Antialias both Checked;
Type in your initials in capitals or in lesson case have typed DJ>OK.
- Selections>Select None ( Ctrl + D )
- Change Font size to 18; Unclick the Bold Button to take back to regular; Change Fill colour to White;
Type your name in capitals>OK.
- Effects>3dEffects>Vertical & Horizontal both (minus) -1; Opacity 100;Blur 0;Colour Black>OK.
- Centre your name along bottom of image.
- Selections>Select None ( Ctrl + D )
- Add Your own little bit of magic.
- Layers>Merge>Merge All (Flatten)
- Time to go play and experiment with the things you have learned today.... Have fun .... woven
